Lunar Eclipse in Leo
5:27 am PST
We kick off eclipse season with a North Node Lunar Eclipse in Leo, a sign that embodies the youthful spirit of play and creation. In a life that is full of responsibilities and work it is easy to forget to do so once you are an adult. This Moon encourages us all to find that sprightly energy within and use it to have some fun! The North Node is in Leo all year and as a collective it is all part of our journey to venture into unknown territory and let our creative side be seen and enjoyed by the world. We are cultivating our creative sides as the North Node moves in conjunction to Ceres so find ways to grow in this way.
The Moon is opposite Venus which has several planetary functions, one of them being that she represents our talents. With Venus close to the South Node you can glean which of the talents you have cultivated is most valuable to your community and bring them forward. The trine to Uranus the next day fueling the fire to express ourselves authentically even more so.
Venus conjuncts Juno in Aquarius exact on the 3rd. Juno in mythology could be a tad jealous of her partner Jupiter's many trifles and react by turning the other women into cows and such. This conjunction speaks to unconventional ways of relating that forgo such possessive antics. You can't own your partners, your friends and associates, but you can be devoted to lovingly supporting the unique connections you have in your life. Take a note from Venus and Juno's movement through Aquarius and allow for freedom to enter each of your relationships. Non attachment doesn't mean you don't care about those that you are involved with. It simply means that you are not attached to controlling their life experience and appreciate their unique expression of self.
Mercury enters Aquarius the same day as this eclipse after lingering in the sign of Sagittarius for over two months. Mercury in Aquarius widens the circle of communication to extend beyond the personal and into the collective. Mercury is pretty comfortable in air signs and this should only increase our ability to network and experiment with new ways of exchanging information with the world around us.
The Moon shifts into Virgo on 1st and will square Mars soon after, Moon in Virgo feels at ease only when all is perfect and if we are charging off on crazy quests without adequate planning it might create some growly moments. It will oppose Neptune, bringing us down to earth from lala land trine Pluto further rooting us to earth to get some work in and lastly will sextile Jupiter increasing our focusing power.
